"Hey Zee--can we sing Baby Shark again??"
What wonderful times we shared with DeVonne at Camp Wyman!!
So many great Family Weekends, "Saturdays on Summit" at the Family Center and--years and years after, when the Wyman Group--under the direction of DeVonne-- came over to the "Eastside" to "spruce up" Precious's Garden.
We were blessed by your presence and your thoughtfulness for so many years. Thank you for bringing your "light" into our lives. We will miss your smile and your contagious laughter. You will remain forever in our hearts.
We love you--Sister Carol Lehmkuhl and All from East Side Heart &Home Family Center
DeVonne was my first godchild. Even though we lost touch over the years, I am so deeply proud of the woman she became, the way that she touched so many lives and her many other contributions. I see that her sweet face did not change much from her baby picture that I can still adore as I write this message. Sincere love and condolences, beloved family.
Devonne was the parent of one of my students. She was an amazing soul and excellent mom. She cared deeply about her stepson and his life is better because she was in it, even for only a short time. Devonne helped the school in so many ways as a very active parent and she always answered when we called for her help on committees. She was a bright soul who made a difference! She will be missed!
I only met DeVonne a few times on Wyman field trips, but her kindness and warmth made an impression on me. She was a wonderful, sweet woman.
DeVonne was such an amazing woman. I'm extremely grateful that I had the opportunity to not only work along aside her but to have the chance to get to know her. DeVonne and I had the opportunity to grow extremely close last Summer, and I will truly cherish all the laughs and words of encouragement that she always gave me. I will miss her so much.
DeVonne was a light in the life of Wyman and every teen, staff member, and partner she knew. All of us at Wyman mourn this loss and send our love to the family and all who loved her. Personally, my 3 decades of knowing DeVonne have been an incredible honor and gift in my life and I treasure each and every memory of our time together.
