Frederick Ingleton Jr.

Frederick Ingleton, Jr. passed away from this life to be with the Lord on February 28, 2024 with his wife Vickie Pickens by his side. He was born on August 18, 1958 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Frederick William Ingleton and Veta Iola Orso. As a young boy, Fred tragically lost his mom, and it impacted him significantly throughout his life. During his teenage years, he would learn the power and importance of forgiveness. Fred was educated in the St. Louis Public School System. He served in the U.S. Army from 1979 to 1981. He also served in the Special Forces Command 101st Airborne. After serving his tour of duty, he returned to St. Louis and gave his life to Christ. He was passionate about his relationship with Christ, and sharing the Gospel. He would later share the importance of having a relationship with Christ with his wife and children. Fred worked in a variety of industries. The last of which was I.T. in which he received his Associates Degree. Fred met Vickie Pickens in 1986 and they developed a friendship. He became a father figure to her two children, Veronica and Vincent Zanders. In their thirty-eight years, together they had Anthony Pickens and Olivia Ingleton and got married. Fred loved being around family and friends. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, great music and working on cars. He also enjoyed barbecues and hanging out at the park. Fred suffered from heart disease for many years. On Wednesday, February 28, 2024, the Lord called him home. He leaves behind to cherish his memories: his wife ~ Vickie Pickens; four children ~ Anthony (Alison) Pickens, Olivia Ingleton, Veronica Zanders and Vincent (Latricia) Zanders; four grandchildren ~ Kaylah Trice, Shannen Zanders, Jayden Trice and Naomi McCulley; his sisters ~ Verna Brown, Elaine Orso, Debbie Ingleton and Sheila Ingleton; his brothers ~ Estasio Orso, Frederick Ingleton, Jr. (Freddy) and Charles Ingleton; one adopted brother ~ Prentice Taylor III; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Veta Iola Orso; his father, Frederick William Ingleton; father-in-law, Joseph Zanders; nephew, Allen; and brother-inlaw, Donald Stuerke.
