Nicholas Ramon Taylor

Nicholas was joyously welcomed to the world on May 4,1981 by his parents Raymond Taylor and Ruth Norman Taylor, who adored him. He was a happy and kind child and grew into a wonderful man. He lived life to the fullest and enjoyed everything that God provided, especially his fellow man. Nick was baptized under the leadership of Rev. Oliver K. Patterson at Mt. Zion MB Church. He later joined Westside MB Church under the leadership of Rev. Ronald Bobo. Following graduation from Hazelwood Central High School, Nick attended Florida A. & M. University (FAMU) where he was a proud graduate. While a student at FAMU, he worked for EA Sports and developed a talent in salesmanship. After graduation, he worked shortly for Enterprise Leasing as an Assistant Manager before embarking on a career with Novo Nordisk Pharmaceuticals as a Senior Diabetes Sales Representative. Nick excelled at Novo in sales and communication, winning their top national award, “Circle of Excellence”. After COVID forced downsizing at Novo, he decided to pursue his passion for cooking healthy meals. He was owner and operator of Executive Cuisine to You (EC2U), specializing in healthy meal preparation and delivery to clients in the St. Louis metro area. Nicholas was a founding member of National Sales Network-St. Louis, a non-profit organization for sales and sales management professionals and individuals who want to improve their professional sales skills. He served on the Executive Committee for the first six years of the Chapter. In fact, Nick is one of NSN St. Louis’ first success stories as he obtained employment with Novo Nordisk through networking with NSN in 2007. Nick served in many capacities including Recording Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President of Finance, and Board of Directors. Nick was also an active member of Kappa Alpha Psi, gaining an introduction to the fraternity as a Kappa Leaguer in high school and later becoming a member. He was currently serving as Lieutenant Strategus and a mentor. Nick loved people and developing friendships. Everyone that he met was his “buddy” or a “good friend”. He loved joking, socializing with family and friends, and always had an easy smile to offer. He also enjoyed traveling and sports. His greatest joy was being a father to his sons. That joy was taken from him on September 4, 2024 when he entered eternal life with God. His absence has left a great void and shattered hearts. Nicholas was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charlie Norman, Sylvester Washington and Mabel Norman Washington and Melvin Taylor and Myneola Coates Taylor. Nicholas married Deanna Jones. To that union two sons were born, Cannon David and Greyson Raymond. Deanna and Nick remained close friends after their marital parting and shared in the raising of their sons. In addition to his children, parents, and Deanna, Nick leaves to cherish his memory: his dear friend and companion ~ Mia Welch; aunts~ , Dorothy (Troy) Gaddy, Levetta (Timmie) Stokes, and Joyce Tolliver; uncles~Sylvester (Rose) Washington, Jr., James Washington, and Robert Terry; godparents ~ Aaron and Doris Cameron. He is an only child but leaves a host of cousins and friends to mourn his passing.
