    Charles David Shotwell

    April 6, 1936 - December 31, 2020

Charles David Shotwell was born April 6, 1936 to the union of the late Moss and Samella (Harris) Shotwell in West Point, Mississippi. On Thursday, December 31, 2020, Charles David Shotwell, departed from this life. He was preceded in death by eight sisters and five brothers. He accepted Christ at an early age. He entered the United States of America Air Force on May 14, 1954, and was sent to basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas on May 19, 1954. He was Honorably discharged in 1962. Charles was united in Holy Matrimony to Patricia Dean in 1957. To this union three children were born. He was employed by Siegel Roberts Plating Company for over thirty years. He later would become a manager at MicroFinish Plating Company for several years until his retirement. Charles had a passion for sports, comedy, working with his nephew, Duan, and often spent time with his family and friends. On a daily, he would watch his favorite television channel “ME TV” to enjoy the past and old cowboy shows such as Gunsmoke and Rawhide. He loved music and at any given moment you would see him dancing to a catchy tune. Charles was loved by whomever crossed his path. He was always the center of attention. He leaves to cherish his memories: his devoted wife of sixty-three years ~ Patricia Shotwell; two daughters ~ Myra Ingram and Beverly Shotwell; one son ~ David Shotwell (Chamaine); one granddaughter ~ Qiana Ingram; two grandsons ~ Dylan and Cai Shotwell; three great grandsons ~ Tyrone, Quinton and Qian; three great granddaughters ~ Tyler, Kali and Savannah; two special sons (nephew) ~ Duan Brooks and Terrell McKeown; one really special daughter ~ Linda Brown; two brothers ~ L.T. and Sam Shotwell; one sister ~ Minnie Helen Miles; one brother-in-law ~ Derek Banks; five sisters-in-law ~ Alice Banks, Levary (Bobbie) Webb, Arlene Darling, Lorraine Shotwell and Lueverne Shotwell; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
