Darrell Eugene Pulliam was born to Conrad Franklin and Joyce Pulliam on October 6, 1954 in St. Louis, Missouri. Darrell and his family grew up in St. Louis City. He was educated in the St. Louis Public School System. He also was a member of the drum chore with the Lancers. Darrell was a faithful member of Memorial Tabernacle Christian Life Center for several years. He served as a Sr. Usher, Jr. Usher President, choir member, volunteer cook and male youth mentor; all under the leadership under the late Walter L. Harper. He later attended Victory Christian Outreach Church under the leadership of Apostles Lee and Doris Rice. There serving as President of the Adult & Youth Ushers, children's church teacher and young adult leader. Returning home to The Christian Life Center formerly Memorial Tabernacle. Darrell lended a helping hand feeding the homeless and tutoring children and adults under the leadership of Pastor Arbie Peterson. He worked for the St. Louis Fire Department as a firefighter for several years. He was later employed at Bi-State Development Agency as a bus operator. All while serving two terms as a Union Representative. Also receiving his Bachelor's of Science and Master's Degree. Darrell married Carlotta Moore in 1977 and to this union his only child was born, Darrell Pulliam, Jr. In 1994, Darrell and Rachel Johnson were married. The two had a special and loving union. Darrell enjoyed life to the fullest. He woke up every morning with a smile on his face and a song in his heart. His mother (Joyce), stepfather (Tommy), stepmother (Doris) and father (Conrad) all preceded him in death. He loves his family and leaves to cherish: his wife ~ Rachel; son ~ Darrell Jr.; his brothers ~ Keith Pulliam (Lisa) and Tommy Adams; sister ~ Diane; his mother-in-law ~ Margaret Redmond (Lee); his grandsons ~ Adonis and Darren Pulliam; two great granddaughters; one aunt ~ Saundra Douglas; three nephews; two nieces; one great niece; one great nephew; special friends ~ Gwen Harris, Miles Strickland and James Johnson; and a host of cousins and friends. We thank God for his life and the deposit he left on many who knew & loved him.
