Elouise Moore
January 14, 1942 - August 15, 2017
Elouise Moore was born to Henry Sr. and Anna Stewart on January 14, 1942 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. As a small child, the family relocated to St. Louis, Missouri and settled in Kinloch, Missouri. She was educated in the Kinloch school system and later attended secretarial school. She was also known as Weezy, "Weezy F Baby" (Only TJ called her that), Mama Moore and Red. She was a faithful member of Memorial Tabernacle Christian Life Center for most of her life where she served as Announcing Clerk, Sunday School Teacher and Adult Choir Member under the leaderships of A.P. Harrold, G.W. Harrold and Walter Harper, II. She later attended Faith Church St. Louis and most recently Calvary Church in Naperville, Illinois. Studying God's word was her favorite thing to do. Elouise was a hardworking and dedicated single mother who unselfishly raised her children alone. She worked for Gale Sobel Uniform Company/Angelica as a Customer Service Representative for most of her life. She was later employed at Commons Lane School as an Office Clerk. She worked there until four years ago to retire and relocate to Plainfield, Illinois. She lived with her daughter Angie. Her father, Henry, three brothers, James, Henry Jr. and Don and grandson, Baby Curtis Brown, preceded her in death. She loved her family and leaves to cherish her memory: her mother ~ Anna Stewart; three children ~ Todd Stewart, Phyllis (Kelvin Sr.) Hicks and Angela (Tommie) Van; four sisters ~ Margaret (Lee) Redmond, Mary (Marvin) Wilson, Mildred Harper and Annette (Ralph) Sneed; five grandchildren ~ Catrina Brown, Phenicia Brown, Brittany Van, Tommie Van, II and Kelvin Hicks, II; three great-grandchildren; four aunts; two sisters-in-law; eight nieces and nephews; cousins; a very special friend ~ Marietta Jones; and many other extended family and friends. She was the honorary mother of the Van family. We thank God for her life and the deposit she left on many who knew and loved her.
