A.B. Edwards' Obituary
A.B. Edwards was born on September 15, 1947, in Hollandale, Mississippi, to Willie and Willella Edwards. He graduated from Simmons High School. On November 26, 1966, he married his high school sweetheart Myrtis Dean, and from that union two children were born: Sonya Edwards and Anthony B. Edwards. He accepted Christ into his heart as his Lord and Savior and was a member of Christian Embassy Church. A.B. worked as a Railroad Journeyman at REA Express, a machine operator at Continental Can Company, and later as a courier for First Choice. His hobbies included working on his lawn at home and at church, ushering, fishing, and watching football. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Willella Edwards; brothers, J.C. Edwards, Emmrie Edwards, Joe Louis Edwards, James Edwards and David Edwards; and sisters, Pearlie Garner and Marie Atkins. He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving and devoted wife ~ Myrtis Edwards; children ~ Sonya Edwards and Anthony B. Edwards; siblings ~ Lizzie Lindsey (Charles) of San Antonio, Texas, and Roby Edwards (Estella) of St. Louis, Missouri; grandchildren ~ Jarred Edwards and Brenda Edwards; godchildren ~ Candise Wooten and Carmen Wooten; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
