Alberteen McCoy's Obituary
Alberteen McCoy was born to the late Ruby Lee and Frank Smith on May 18, 1947 in Greedwood, Mississippi. She was the only child.
Teen joined in union with Raymond McCoy later in life. From this union no children were born.
She attended Saint Louis Public Schools and later attended Sumner High School, where she became a proud Sumner Bulldog.
Alberteen gave her life to Christ at an early age and accepted all religions.
Teen, “Gan Gan”, was loved by many generations, she was known for her smile, her big and strong heart, her listening ear and her advice that she always had. She loved to talk on the phone to her “pooh”, Aintsan. She enjoyed spending time with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved listening to the Blues on Saturday mornings. If you knew Teen, you knew not to bother her while she was watching her stories, the “Young and the Restless”, and her wrestling. She has raised many generations throughout her seventy-one years and she loved every minute of it.
She worked at Ludlow, which she enjoyed very much because she worked with her uncle, William Bryant. She also enjoyed working in sales and retail.
Teen had been fighting for a long time, her biggest fight started on December 3, 2018, and she fought everyday until God gracefully opened Heavens Gates for her on December 16, 2018 at 7:31 p.m., God has gained an angel.
Alberteen was preceded in death by her parents, Ruby Lee and Frank smith; and her son, Anthony Smith, her grandson, De’Angelo Blackmon and grandparent, Liddell and Alice Bryant.
Alberteen leaves to cherish her loving memories: her three children~ Casey Smith, Frednita Smith and Marcia Smith fifteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; two uncles ~ Eldrige Bryant (Marsha) and Michael Bryant (Anita) and a host of cousins and many dear friends.
