Lastman, (Anthony Towles), was one of kind. No matter what the issue he was ready and willing to help. No matter the ask his response was always "I got ya Nupe." He was a member of our wedding party and went above and beyond to make sure everything went smooth. I would venture to say that his favorite thing to do was keeping that white cutlass sparkly clean. He wasn't big on fashion. I can still see him in the cutoff jeans, t-shirt and high top nikes ready to get his hoop on or just run errands. Don't get me wrong, he kept the spit shined Stacey's on deck when it was time to get suited and booted. Any other time it was whatever. He was comfortable enough to not get caught up in looking good for the sake of others. Mad respect for that. His demeanor and kind spirit was second to none. While in college we took a road trip to Atlanta. Lastman insisted on driving the whole way because he loved the power of the Porsche. He was indeed the human version of a Care Bear. If you were his friend he loved you to the end. My wife and I extend our deepest condolences to the family and all the lives that he touched. In his passing I learned a valuable lesson. I missed his call about 3 weeks before his passing and allowed LIFE to get in the way of me calling him back. Take the time to reach out to those we love. We never know when their assignment is up. Rest Easy Lastman, see ya on the Golden Shores my Nupe!

in honor of Anthony.

Anthony lived right across the street from my parents. Always had a smile, a wave every time and loved keeping his yard in shape. The best memories that are dear to my family and I is that when our parents died one 2019 and the other 2025. He would be quietly behind the scenes helping my family and I with either yard care, encouraging cards, a chat and even a hug. He was such a blessing to us. May all of Anthony's loved ones know the Lord is with them through their grief. Matthew 5:4

We are heartbroken over the loss of our dear cousin. Our hearts are indeed heavy, but we are grateful for the opportunity we had to share beautiful memories during his visit.

How ironic. You were affectionately known as "Last Man" but for so many you were always the first to show.
Anthony, we shared so much: A college, (LU); an apartment (306); A fraternity (Kappa); a military background (Army); we shared an oath with 11 others that (even in your physical absence) I will strive to honor.

Serendipitously, we spoke just days prior to your passing. Had I known that would be our last conversation I would have said thank you. Thank you for being everything I couldn't. Thank you for your kindness, patience, tolerance. Thank you for being our moral compass and beacon of integrity; always the standard bearer. Thank you for showing up for me repeatedly during our 37 year friendship and fraternal bond. You are the only person like you I have ever known.

Rest In Peace, Last Man. See you on the shores.
