Ardine Woods

I was visiting with mama on Sunday, and we started to speak of Dune. I gave her the program, and I told her about the service. Mama told me of a few times she and Dune talked about the things they had in common...like raising four children pretty much single handed. She said that once while visiting her sister, Pearlie, Dune came over to pick her up, and they rode to Dune's house. Mama spoke with admiration for her niece while she looked at her picture. I share that admiration. Having been raised by a single mother, I know my cousin had to be strong. It is hard for me to believe that I am here writing this, but after reading Mikayla's beautiful tribute to her grandmother, I wanted to write a few words and share this photo. God Bless!

My sister, one of the memories I have of you is that you were the matriarch of your family and the positive energy in your children and grandchildren’s lives. Material things was not what made you who you were. Most importantly, you and your family were rich when it came to what matters most and that is LOVE ❤️ YOU HAD IT ALL!!!

This is one of my favorite pictures of Ardene. Always there for me whenever there was something to celebrate or whatever was going on. I am praying for her entire family that God will continue to give you strength. Thank you all for sharing your daughter, mother, and sister with me as she was truly my friend. Love and God bless.
