Argusta Oliver's Obituary
Argusta Swuspie was born on July 3, 1934 in Hughes, Arkansas to the
union of Gus Swuspie and Florence Young.
Argusta moved to Saint Louis, Missouri in 1948 with her infant son,
where she met Davis Simpson. To this union one son was born.
Argusta married Julius Harden in 1955 and to this union six children
were born. Julius and her son Darryl Harden preceded her in death.
Argusta confessed her faith in Christ at New Macedonia Church under
the leadership of Pastor James Washington, where she served faithfully
as the church clerk.
In 1976, Argusta married Fort Oliver and to this union one son was
born. Argusta later joined Mt. Beulah M.B. Church under the leadership
of Pastor E. G. Shields, Sr.
After her son was called to pastor, she followed him to Oak Grove
Baptist Church and at the time of her death, she was a proud member
of Surrender to Christ Ministries Church.
Argusta's passion was her children. She moved mountains to protect
her family. She took great joy in spending time with her children and
she always talked about them.
Argusta departed this life on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at home
surrounded by her family.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her nine children ~ Alim Shaddid

Harden, Judy Haynes (Charley), Virgil Harden (Inger), Maurice Oliver
(Crystal) and Betty Shaddid; eighteen grandchildren, fifteen great
