Ben Birchfield's Obituary
Ben Birchfield was born on October 6, 1928 to the union of Lillie and
William Birchfield in Starkville, Mississippi. Ben was one of seventeen
children to William and Lillie Birchfield.
He was married to Sallie Mae Sharp in March, 1955. To this union ten
children were born.
Ben accepted Christ later in life and became a member of the
Roseview Church of God In Christ.
He loved fishing and conversating with his children and
grandchildren. He was also loved by all in the neighborhood.
He was called to labor on Sunday, June 28, 2015.
He leaves to cherish his homegoing: a devoted wife ~ Sallie Birchfield
of St. Louis, Missouri (a loving mother of ten children); ten children ~
Dorothy Birchfield-Horton, Rose Ellis, Dorothy Ellis, Jessie Ellis, Flora
Ellis, Glenda Ellis, Ben Birchfield, Jr., Lillie Birchfield, Harvey Birchfield
and Cleveland Birchfield; two brothers ~ Jimmy and Harvey; five
sisters ~ Margaret, Lillie, Bertha, Addie B. and Dorothy; a host of
nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
