Bertha Mae Everett's Obituary
Bertha Mae Evertt was born on January 15, 1942 to the union of John and
Juanita Robinson in Portageville, Missouri. Her parents; husband, Willie;
sister, Dorthy; brothers, John, Wendell, Harold and Gary; grandson, Avion all
preceded her in death.
Bertha was educated in the Saint Louis Public School Systems. Bertha was a
hard worker and was determined to give her family the finer things in life. She
started her career in health care and then explored other industries, including:
manufacturing, hospitality and entrepreneurship; eventually settling into a career
in healthcare until she retired. Bertha was a self proclaimed, jack of all trades.
Bertha lived a long, full life but remained young at heart. She had a beautiful
smile and giving spirit. Her doors were always open if you needed a place to
stay; if you fell upon hard times, she would do what she could to help in any
way. People often proclaimed she was the sweetest person they’ve met.
Bertha loved her family, traveling, laughing and talking to her siblings on the
phone. She loved hosting gatherings at her home whether it was large meals
for the holidays or card parties for coworkers and friends on the weekends.
Bertha also loved sports baseball, football and basketball being her favorites.
The Lord called Bertha Home at the age of “Sweet Sixteen”. She leaves to
cherish her memories: seven children ~ Judy (William) Davis, Michael
Robinson, Richard Robinson, Marcie Robinson, Debbie (Randy) Gulley,
Nuhya (Susan) Raney and Angela Noble; three stepchildren ~ Shanton
Everett, Monique Everett and Keveen Everett; two sisters ~ Anita (Eugene)
Williams and Lois Robinson; one brother ~ Morris Robinson; her grandchildren;
great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
