Blake Edwards Smith's Obituary
Blake Edwards Smith was born on February 28, 1986 to Evelyn Yellowhorse and Bruce Smith in Tuba City, Arizona. He was the second born to Evelyn Yellowhorse and Bruce Smith, who also had an older son, Bryce Smith. Blake graduated from Berkeley High School in Ferguson, Missouri in 2004. He went on to become an entrepreneur and good with his hands, just like his paternal grandfather, Robert Smith. Blake was an avid foodie who enjoyed eating at new restaurants and had a love for pool, football and basketball, especially the Boston Celtics. He became a father to Malachi Graham on January 2, 2015 with Tabitha Graham, whom he loved dearly. Blake was more than just a name; he was a beacon of light in our lives. His infectious laughter, warm smile and genuine kindness left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Whether he was lending a helping hand or brightening our days with his humor, Blake was a true friend, a loving family member, and an irreplaceable part of our community. On March 8, 2024, Blake was tragically taken from us after succumbing to injuries sustained in a devasting car accident. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bruce Smith and Evelyn Yellowhorse; his paternal grandfather, Robert Smith; his maternal grandparents, Hubert and Myrtle Yellowhorse; his uncles and aunt, Arthur Darryle Smith, Walter Duncan, Jr., Rupert Yellowhorse and Maryann Fox. He leaves to cherish his memory: his son ~ Malachi Graham (Tabitha); his paternal grandmother ~ Mildred Smith; his brothers ~ Bryce Smith, Jason Smith and Ryan Yellowhorse; his niece and nephew ~ Takirha Smith and Milton Dejon White; aunts and uncles ~ Rose Timmon, Felton (Denise) Smith, Nadine (Darryle) Smith, Milton (Iris) Smith, Stanley (Jamesetta) Smith, Ella (Walter) Duncan, Cynthia (Steven) Johnson, Pamela (Mark) Wingo, Russell (Beverly) Yellowhorse, Roland Yellowhorse, Susie (Herb) McCabe and Richard (Maryann) Fox; his best friend ~ Christina (Jermey) Gallatin; and a host of cousins and lots of longtime friends turn family
