Brenda Denyse Knight's Obituary
Her life journey began on Saturday,
November 20, 1948. Brenda Denyse Knight
was blessed to her parents of Eddie William
(mother) and Hollwell Herron (father) in
Kinloch, Missouri.
Brenda was the eldest of two. Her younger
brother, Albert, preceded her in death.
Brenda’s first encounter with Christ was at
First Missionary Baptist Church of
Kinloch. Brenda would fully embrace her
spiritual journey by becoming a member of
Metro Christian Worship Center under the
Bishop Raphael Green.
Brenda was a master of pivoting when life threw curve balls her
way. Brenda was always aware that her children were watching her build a
legacy. She decided to pursue her education and returned to college,
graduating with her Master’s Degree from Webster University. Choosing to
leave corporate America, Brenda turned her pursuits to entrepreneurship;
founding both Refine and Design Careers, as well as a joint venture with
her husband, Excellence in Transportation. With the freedom that both
ventures brought, Brenda was able to develop her love of public speaking
and writing.
Brenda enjoyed all of aspects of life, believing that even in your darkest
moments can come your greatest lessons. Brenda would always leave her
mark in every room she entered and was always giving inspiration of love,
confidence, and hope at the right moment you needed it. Brenda was a
beloved wife, a phenomenal mother, and a great friend.
In the early hours of Christmas morning, Brenda departed our Earthly
realm, leaving us to be embraced by her loving parents, Eddie and
Hollwell; daughters, June and Rosalyn Knight; and grandson, Henderson
Cooper, Jr. as she continues her spiritual walk with Christ. She leaves to
cherish her memory: her husband, Larry; children, Brian Herron, Zansheree
Knight, Erika Knight-Epps, Larry Ian Knight (Lee) and Adnita (Stewart)
Haymon; grandchildren, Brian Armstrong, Jacinda Knight, Jarred Jones,
Walter C. Smith, III, Larry Ian Knight, Jr., Sheena Haymon, Serena Haymon
and Stewart Haymon, Jr.; with a host of cousins, extended family and
friends that will continue to honor her memory.
