Briana Z. Spotts' Obituary
Briana Zakiyyah Spotts was born on January 8, 1991 in Saint Louis,
Missouri to Damon and Romonda Spotts (Bowens). She was the only
child born into this union.
Briana completed her elementary and high school education in the
Hazelwood School District. She was currently working at U.S. Bank as
a Virtual Personal Banker. Briana confessed her hope in Christ as a
young girl and was baptized at New Sunny Mount Missionary Baptist
Church under the direction of Reverend Donald Hunter. As a New
Sunny Mount Missionary Baptist Church member, Briana sang in the
Voices of Victory Choir from the age of three until she was a young
adult. When asked, she would give an impromptu welcome to
visitors…always speaking from the heart.
Briana was the mother of three beautiful children; Zion, Brailyn and
Legend, who shared her warm smile and witty sense of humor. She
was devoted to her children’s sports activities of soccer and football
and was always on the sidelines cheering them on. Before her passing
she was able to take her children to Walt Disney World which will be a
memory they will cherish forever. Her children meant everything to her
and they will miss her dearly.
Briana was known by family and friends for her sweet personality and
constant smile. Briana had the gift of engaging anyone she met and
kept people laughing and smiling.
Briana transitioned from this world on Tuesday, December 20, 2022.
She is preceded in death by her father, Damon M. Spotts; her
maternal grandparents, Lena M. Madden and Stanley Battley;
maternal great grandmother, Alma Roberson and paternal great
grandfather, Clarence McDaniel.
She leaves her family to cherish everlasting memories of her life: her
faithful and loving mother ~ Romonda; her stepfather ~ Donald; three
children ~ Zion, Brailyn and Legend; stepbrother ~ Donald Jr.;
paternal grandmother ~ Patricia Spotts; paternal grandfather ~
George Spotts, III; great grandmother ~ Willie Bea “GG”; two uncles ~
Chris Spotts (Kandace) and Larry Madden, Jr.; two aunts ~ Candice
and Roshonda; godfather ~ Grant Thomas, Jr.; many great aunts and
uncles, cousins, dear friends and associates.
Briana will be missed by all who knew her. She was a blessing to her
family and friends.
