Charles Edward Harris' Obituary
Charles Edward Harris was born the fourth child of six children to the
union of William Harris, Sr. and Clemmie T. Harris on December 12,
1967 in Chicago, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his mother;
brothers, William Harris, Jr. and Larry Harris, Sr.; his uncles, Claude Lewis,
Joe Nathan, Johnny Mack and Nander Lee; aunts, Flora and Jaunita.
He educated in the state of Missouri and he worked in the culinary field
at Rossino’s Italian Restaurant for over ten years.
Charles had one biological child, his daughter, Tina Michelle Jackson
Roby (Leo), whom he loved dearly. He met his lifelong partner, Lisa
(Joanne) Harris nearly forty years ago; to this union he gained his
children of the heart, Nicole Ann Robinson (Kenneth), Charles Edward
Harris, Jr. III, Shirley Danita Harris and Renata Camille Whitfield.
Charles professed Christ and was baptized at an early age. One of his
favorite Gospel songs was “Soon and Very Soon” by Andrae Crouch. He
was best known for his charismatic and animated sense of humor, his
big heart and generosity and his love for his family. Charles was very
athletic as he was an avid swimmer and gymnast. People often said he
should’ve competed in the Olympics including boxing, because he was
also well known for “throwing those hands”.
On Tuesday, August 13, 2024, our heavenly Father called Charles home
