Cyrus O. Wea's Obituary
Deacon Cyrus O. Wea was born on September 24, 1947 to the union
of Cyrus and Lottie Wea in St. Louis, Missouri. He was the youngest of
five children. Both parents, his brother, Wilbur and sister, Marietta
Borden preceded him in death.
Cyrus accepted Christ at an early age and joined the Patterson
Missionary Baptist Church. He later joined Pentecostal Saints
Tabernacle under the leadership of Bishop James Stewart. In 2018, he
joined Been There Done That Redemption Ministries under the
leadership of Pastor Darron Roberts.
Cyrus received his education in the St. Louis Public Schools. He worked
at the Boeing Company, formerly McDonnell Douglas from 1974 till he
retired in 2005.
In May 1987, Cyrus was united in Holy Matrimony to Kim Lacy. From
this union Cierra June was born. Cyrus also has a daughter, Angelique
Wea and a son, Cyrus Washington prior to this union.
Cyrus enjoyed traveling, fishing, and The St. Louis Cardinals baseball
team and the Kansas City Chiefs football team were his favorite teams.
Cyrus enjoyed detailing his automobiles which were always shining
bright.
Cyrus left this life on Sunday, June 25, 2023. He leaves to cherish his
memory: his loving wife, Kim; three children, Angelique Wea, Cyrus
Washington, and Cierra Wea; grandchildren, Shawntia Watson and
Chariee Washington; great grandchildren, Dereon, Alexander, and
L'anni; siblings, Edna Fowler and Susan Washington; and a host of
nieces, nephews, and cousins.
