Daniel Carson Davis' Obituary
On May 12, 1949, GOD CALLED into existence Daniel Carson
Davis. Daniel was born to Cora Mae Davis and Eddie Jones.
Daniel spent 52 years of his adult life with his beautiful wife
Brenda Joyce Davis, formerly Brenda Joyce Cunningham.
In the early years, Daniel attended Dunbar Elementary
School in Kinloch Missouri. As a great sports enthusiast,
Daniel loved watching college level and professional football
and basketball. He also played football and basketball at his
high school, Kinloch High School. He later attended Central
Missouri State University in Warrensburg, Missouri, before
enlisting in the United States Army.
Daniel was stationed in Vietnam while in the U.S. Army and
was a supply specialist. He was honorably discharged. After
returning from the army, Daniel worked at Weyerhaeuser,
where he met his best friends (family friends) Charles and
Lorraine Woodson, his care givers.
He later joined the St. Louis County Police Department. His
career as a police officer spanned 25 years.
Both Daniel’s parents proceeded him in death, along with his
aunt, Ruby Davis; his uncle, Columbus Davis and his uncle,
Hugh Davis.
Daniel leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife ~ Brenda
Joyce Davis; one brother ~ John (Regina) Davis; three sisters
~ Joyce Peebles, Beverly Harper and Gloria Jenice Robinson;
one sister-in-law ~ Thomasine Cunningham (Edmond Sr.);
one goddaughter ~ Christina Reynolds; and a host of nieces
and nephews.
We will always remember Daniel Carson Davis for his
wonderful smile and kind heart.
