Darryl Alan Shannon's Obituary
Mr. Darryl Alan Shannon was born on March 18, 1976 in Saint Louis,
Missouri to Sharon Shannon and Darryl Williams. He was the first born child to
both parents, but would later become an amazing big brother to his siblings,
Derrick Shannon, Shardae Shannon, Donald Williams, Skye Williams and Alexis
Williams, all of Saint Louis, Missouri.
Darryl started a relationship with the Lord at a very early age and knew the word
like no other. Even with life’s ups and downs Darryl remained rooted in his
faith, strong for his family and knew brighter days lied ahead.
During his life’s journey, he married his devoted, loving and caring wife, Tarina
Ann Shannon. During this union three children were born; two beautiful
daughters, Tiera Shannon-Pryor (Geno), Ja’Hrya Shannon and one son, Darryl
Shannon, Jr. whom he is reunited with in heaven.
Darryl was a grandfather to five grandchildren, Ta’von James, Jr., Taron James
(Papa’s Rollie), Taylor James, Levelle Pryor and Tarina-Joy Pryor (Papa’s Baby).
Darryl loved to read and was a great chess player. He taught this skill to his
nephew, Elijah, who he enjoyed playing chess with, creating a significant and
special bond amongst the two. He loved going on walks and hanging out with
his brother, Derrick who he shared a very special friendship and everlasting
bond with. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was a protector of
those he loved, especially his grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Darryl was a very caring and loving son, father, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin
and friend. He looked out for his loved ones and dedicated his life to them until
the end.
