Denice Marie Grundy's Obituary
Denice Marie Grundy was born on January 24, 1974 to Cotis
Grundy and Emma Grundy. She was the last of eight children.
Preceding her in death, her father, Cotis, brother, Dwayne, and
sisters, Linda and Brenda.
Denice professed a hope in Christ at an early age and was baptized
under the leadership of Rev. Isadore Maney of the Old Community
Baptist Church. She later rededicated her life and joined
Midwestern Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Jeffrey
Grimes.
She was raised by her guardian parents, uncle, Rev. Maney and
aunt, Gerry of St. Louis, Missouri.
Denice worked at Delmar Garden and her daughter, Charmaine has
worked there since after high school. She plans to make a career as
a dietitian.
Denice was a fun loving, lady that lived life to the fullest. She never
met a stranger. She loved orange soda and chinese food, especially
ham fried rice with onion and gravy.
Denice leaves to cherish her memories: her one and only daughter
that she adored, one of the last text she sent to Charmaine stated
that Charmaine had been a blessing to her since the day she was
born; her mother, Emma Grundy of Greensboro, Alabama, her
sisters ~ Debra and Jacqueline both of St. Louis, Missouri, Yvonne
of Tuscaloosa, Alabama and Katrice of Milwaukee; and brothers ~
Cotis (Mable) of Madison, Alabama, Cotis III and Darrell of
Milwaukee; her guardian parents ~ Rev. Maney and (aunt)
Geraldine; her cousin sister ~ Victoria; aunts ~ Ophelia (Peery) all of
St. Louis, Missouri, Mirandi (Bill) of Southfield, Michigan, Traci of
Greensboro, Alabama; and one uncle ~ Willie of Cleveland; several
nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews and a host of
cousins and friends.
