Donnell Woods Wills' Obituary
Donnell Woods Wills “Don” was born in Carbondale, Illinois on April 16,
1943. He moved to St. Louis, Missouri at a very young age.
He attended St. Louis Public Schools.
He was taught about serving the Lord at a very young age and truly a Strong
believer in the Lord.
He was an entrepreneur for many years. Donnell had his own Confectionery.
He also had a fleet of Taxi Cabs for many years until his retirement.
Don had a strong passion for staying with the latest clothing fashions and
always dressed to impress! Don loved motorcycles. He was truly a fan of
watching western movies for hours at a time.
He loved taking road trips. He never missed family functions and enjoyed
being apart of family gatherings. He was very inspirational and full of laughter.
He truly enjoyed life and believed in living it to the fullest each and every day.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Arnold Woods, Sr. and Mrs.
Elsie Wills, daughter, Debra Woods, siblings, Linda Moore, Lawrence Wills
and Homer Wills (Debra) and step-father, Mr. Fred Tisdale.
Don leaves to cherish his memories: his children ~ Tony Evans, Pamela Roberts
(the late Benjamin), Donnell Woods (Jessica), Donnell Nesbit (Dolle), and
Brittany Alberty (David); ten grandchildren; thirty-four great grandchildren; six
great-great grandchildren; siblings ~ Raydeane Woods of Springfield, Illinois,
Sam Frazier of Los Angeles, California, Charles Frazier (Donna) of St. Louis,
Missouri, Arnold Woods, Jr. (Gretchen) of Des Moines, Iowa, Bradford Woods
(Annis) of Des Moines, Iowa, and Kendall Woods of Carbondale, Illinois;
special step-mother ~ Mrs. Iray Tisdale, (whom he loved calling “Madea”);
special childhood friend ~ Charles Dooley - Don and Charles were true friends
to the end. They laughed together, disagreed with one another as well as
respected each others opinion. No matter the situation they remained friends
through the good and not so good times. There may have been hard times but
never bad times amongst them.
Don will be missed by host of nieces, nephews, cousins, loved ones, and
friends.
Don’s final resting place will be with Rosetta Hardy, the Love of his life for
over forty years.
