Easter Holmes

My mother Beulah Perry always talked about someone named Easter when I was a child and several years later, I finally met Easter during her visit to California. She was classy and dressed very well and she was kind. I was drawn to her immediately. I had the honor of cooking dinner for Easter and my grandmother Bertha Booker during our family reunion in Los Angeles. I told her she reminded me of Della Reese in "Touched By An Angel." Easter started laughing. She was a very classy and highly respectable women whom I was glad to have as one of the pillars in our family. We had a special bond. When she call you and ask you to do something, you can't say no. We would send each other birthday cards. I haven't spoken to Easter in a few years but I will never forget the impact she had on my life. It was such a blessing to have known Easter. She was very strong on family and tradition. I love you Easter and you will be missed. God rest your soul.

My heart has a HUGE hole in it. God blessed the world with a beautiful lily of the field whose name was Easter , who was God-sent to my life . I shall alway cherish the memory of Mrs. Easter Holmes until the end of my life . Simply stated , I ADORED her . I sorely miss her sweetness.
