Eddie Johnson's Obituary
Eddie James Johnson, Sr. was born on September 21, 1955 in
Saint Louis, Missouri to Lureather Lovett Johnson and Ellis Johnson, Jr.
Eddie received his education through Saint Louis Public Schools and later
received some college education in Business, but decided to switch gears
and become a Jack of Many Trades; working fifteen years at Building
Butlers Janitorial Co. and thirteen years at Stevens Transport Trucking Co.
doing over the road driving until retirement.
Eddie helped bring five beautiful children into the world; two from longtime
love, Sheree Davis and three from a blessed union of marriage with Yvette
Covington.
He loved his kids, siblings and family and cherished his mother dearly,
making sure she was well taken care of. He was there for others in need,
loved to listen to Gospel Singer, Rance Allen, watching stand up comedy
and movies. He spent many years serving God and attending church
services. Eddie was known for his smooth charisma and giggle for a laugh.
Eddie was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ellis and Pearl Johnson
and Claude and Agnes Lovett; father, Ellis Johnson, Jr.; brother, Antoine
Johnson and son, Eddie Johnson, Jr.
Eddie is survived by: his mother ~ Lureather Lovett Johnson; four children
~ Angela Johnson, Brittney Johnson, Isaiah Johnson and Teneesha
Johnson; ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; sisters ~
Mary Walker, Sarah Bailey (Lamar), Niecy Johnson Lott, Rogina Johnson,
Inita Johnson and Lucy Elkins Williams; brothers ~ Lee Johnson
(Francheska), Ellis Twiggs (Lazete) and Reginald Holmes; a host of aunts,
uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
