Eddie L. Woods Sr.'s Obituary
Eddie L. Woods, Sr. born January 10, 1945 in Jackson, Tennessee
passed away peacefully at the wonderful age of 77 on January 13,
2022 in Christian Northwest Hospital. Eddie was preceded in death by
his wife, Mable L. Woods; parents, Willie and Melvola Ellison; and four
brothers, Albert Smith, Alexander Smith, Jr., Nathanial Ellison and Arthur
Ellison.
Eddie enjoyed working with his hands creating vegetable gardens,
repairing automobiles, and lawn equipment. Eddie enjoyed spending
time with family and friends talking about life and current events
allowing him to touch the lives of many with his kind personality and
sincerity. Eddie didn’t hesitate to reach out to family and friends with a
phone call to check on their wellbeing and to say I love you.
Eddie maintained a positive outlook all the way to the end despite his
health issues and diagnosis of pneumonia in January 2022. Eddie had
a strong faith in God who blessed him to see a new year and blessed
him to see his birthday on January 10th prior to God calling him home.
Eddie leaves to cherish his memories: son ~ Eddie L. Woods, Jr,
one brother ~ Larry Ellison Merriville, Indiana; one sister ~ Ora M.
Woods Gary, Indiana; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and
friends.
