Ernest Lee McNary's Obituary
Mr. Ernest L. McNary, Jr. was born in Tunica, Mississippi
on August 18, 1947 to the proud parents, Freddie Mae
Millon and Ernest McNary, Sr.
Ernest departed his life on April 13, 2023. He was
preceded in his death by his mother and father, Freddie
Mae Millon and Ernest L. McNary, Sr.; wives, Sula A.
McNary and Joan Richmond; stepson, Richard Penn; and
sisters, Earnestine McNary, Dorothy Mitchell, Freddie B.
Black and Victoria McNary.
Ernest joined the Army at the age 20. He did 3 years in
the Army, 4 years reserved, and 3 years in the national
guard. He was honorably discharged with several
medals. One for the national defense service, Vietnam
service, Vietnam campaign, Army commendation, Good
conduct, and an expert (Rifle). He was a loving father,
uncle, grandfather and great-grandfather who enjoyed
seeing his grandchildren/great-grandchildren around the
holiday season. He loved Christmas because he knew
each year the decorations would be different.
Ernest is survived by: 4 biological children ~ Ernest L.
McNary, III, Mary A. L. McNary, Walter McNary and
Gerald McNary; also 4 step-children ~ Charles Williams,
Theresa Clopton, Erica Johnson and Trentess Jackson;
nieces, nephews, and many grandchildren/greatgrandchildren
