Gene Hamilton III's Obituary
On July 21, 1973, in St. Louis, Missouri, the world was blessed with the presence of Gene Hamilton III. From the very beginning, Gene brought joy, laughter, and light to everyone around him. He was the eldest of two children born to Gene Jr. and Vivian Hamilton, and though his father preceded him in death, Gene carried forward his family ’ s strength and love with grace. Gene ’ s faith was the cornerstone of his life. At an early age, he accepted Christ and was baptized at Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church under the guidance of Rever end McFarland. His spiritual foundation shaped the way he lived honesty, and a heart full of compassion. — with kindness, Gene was educated in the Hazelwood School District and was known for his ath leticism and competitive spirit as a member of the track team. Beyond his physical talents, Gene possessed a gift for humor and storytelling. He could light up any room with his jokes and had an uncanny ability to share family history with truth and heart — whether good, bad, or ugly. His stories were more than words; they were bridges connecting generations. Gene was a man of many skills — a true jack of all trades. But his greatest accom plishments were found in the love he gave and the family he cherished. He leaves behind his devoted mother Vivian (Sam), his brothers Duane, Gerald, and Ronald. His brothers Wallace, and Alexander preceded him in death. His children Jasmine (Galen), Christopher, and Skylar, and the memory of his beloved son Justin, who preceded him in death. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Justice Denise Hamilton, Jaylen A ’ mon Brown, Galen Timothy Brown, Legend Kobe Brown, Autumn Gabrielle JoAnn Brown, and Justin Duane Hamilton Jr., and host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends. Gene ’ s life was a testament to resilience, laughter, and unconditional love. Though we mourn his passing, we celebrate the beautiful journey he shared with us. His spirit will forever live in the stories we tell, the memories we hold, and the love that binds us together.
John 14:1 3 "Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."
