Gerald LaMont Nickerson's Obituary
Gerald Lamont Nickerson, Sr. Was born on June 25, 1957 to the union of
Jesse Lee Nickerson and Emogene Jones-Nickerson in Saint Louis, Missouri.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Lee Nickerson and Emogene
Jones-Nickerson; grandparents, Mabel and Otto Jones and Beatrice and Guy
Nickerson; brother, Michael Nickerson; and sister, Diane Nickerson.
Gerald was educated in the Saint Louis Public School System, where he
attended Webster Groves High School.
Gerald confessed his life to Christ at First Baptist Church of Webster Groves.
Gerald worked for Chrysler for twenty-five years and retired in March of 2020.
He enjoyed bowling, fishing, home renovations, remodeling, car repairs,
golfing and chess.
Gerald Nickerson, Sr. departed this life on February 9, 2023. He leaves to
cherish his memory: his loving wife ~ Markitta Alane Potts-Nickerson; his
children ~ Leslie R. Nickerson-Portis (Mahatma Portis), Yalantes R. Nickerson McNeal (Ralph McNeal), Damion Nickerson (Sarah), Gerald Nickerson II and
Quintin Nickerson; siblings ~ Gail Nickerson-Hasting (Michael Hasting),
Reginald Nickerson and Darryl Nickerson (Tamara); grandchildren ~ Miyah,
Brennan, Ty, Landon, Blake, Solomon, Jaxon, Jordan, Meila and Kya; and a
host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
