Hattie Lee Cunningham's Obituary
Hattie Cunningham was born March 3, 1931 in Rondo, Arkansas to
Prairie Westbrook and Son Westbrook. She was an only child.
Hattie was raised, educated and accepted Christ at an early age in
Rondo, Arkansas. She cherished her two children, Loretta Watson
(Eddie) and Ronnie Westbrook (Alma Jean), whom both preceded her in
death.
Hattie moved to Middletown, Ohio where she met and married Reese
Cunningham. She joined Second Baptist Church and later became a
member of the Usher Board and President of the Aide Board.
She worked many years as a domestic aid and factory worker but her
passion was cooking. She enjoyed traveling, fishing, bingo, the casino
and watching old western movies.
Hattie later moved to St. Louis, Missouri to reunite with her family
where she departed this life on August 4, 2023 while in the care of her
grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Prairie and
Son Westbrook and two grandchildren, Karl and Linda.
Hattie leaves to cherish her memories: her neice ~ O'Vella Dougan
(Lee); grandchildren ~ Angela, Teresa, Randy, Gerald, Angel (Keith),
Senitra-Shantay, Jonathan, Tiffany, Shamika, Kimberly, Michael,
Caletta, Latoya, Derrick, Brittany, Camille, Eric, Tiana, Donnie, Mykel,
Malik, Marcus, Kinya, Kamille; great grandchildren ~ Darius, Zanae,
Zaniya, Dallas, Tony, Kamiyah, Xavair, Lawrence, Joseph and Amir; two
best friends ~ Lois Jones and Casaundra Damon-Lee, known as her
Lifesaver; a host of cousins, friends and neighbors that loved her
dearly.
