Helen Elizabeth Brown's Obituary
Helen Elizabeth (Lizzie) Brown was born in St. Louis, Missouri to Helen E. McClendon and Henry McClendon on May 8, 1942. She went to high school at Kinloch Senior High School and graduated in 1960. She worked as a factory work for Wagner Electric for several years.
Helen was a woman of faith. She was a believer in our Lord Jesus Christ. She was baptized at an early age and kept her family grounded in the word and church. She praised God night and day to the end of her journey. She spent a lot of time praying and listening to the word of God.
She loved to look good with her purses and shoes. She loved her family and had a big heart. She will truly be missed. Family and friends will miss her faith, strength, smile, laughter, charisma and witty personality.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Helen E. McClendon and Henry McClendon; brothers, Menard McClendon and Henry McClendon; sister, Mary McClendon; son, Frank J. Brown, Jr.; daughter, Margaret “Denise” Brown and grandson, Lamar Hogan.
Helen “Lizzie” was loving, mother, grandmother, daughter, aunt, niece, cousin and friend. She leaves to cherish her memories: a daughter ~ Sharon R. Brown (Dwayne Armstrong); son ~ Timothy B. Brown (Karen); two God daughters ~ Debra R. Brown and Yolanda “Penny” Brown; two brothers ~ Horace M. McClendon and Howard L. McClendon; and one sister ~ Nannette T. Penn and a host of grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great -nephews, cousins and relatives and friends.
