Ms. Ryan I use to be that child singing off key trying to be in band and I'll never forget the many times I got sent to the office for singing other songs. Some ppl come and go but I never forgot about you all these years. You will truly be missed see you in the Pacific Ale. Insider one of the songs I dreaded singing lol...
Reading this has me in tears did not know Mrs Ryan passed away this was one of my Best teachers. Some thought Mrs Ryan was mean she was not she was just very sturn and wanted everyone to get the best out of her Music class. I learned quit a lot being in her class when she taught at Vandenberg. I remember Mrs Ryan would let people play and talk during her lesson then when she was fed up she would point her finger at you then door to get out her class. If you did not get out her class fast enough she would then get up from behind the piano come to your seat and say GET OUT MY CLASS RIGHT NOW AND GO SEE Mrs Monroe really loud and people would get scared and shut upGotta love Mrs Ryan may she rest peacefully in heaven.
Mrs. Ryan was the best music teacher I’ve ever had! She loved to sing and was passionate about teaching others to sing! Sure wish I would have had the opportunity to tell her how much we all appreciated her. Rest in heaven.. I’m sure she is still singing!
Ms. Ryan was a phenomenal and memorable teach at Vandenburg. She was kind and made sure we were learning. Her legacy is long and rich. Safe travels.

Thank you for being a wonderful teacher to so many of us Ms. Ryan. I want to send my condolences to the family of a person that truly made a difference. Rest in peace!
Mrs. Ryan was one of my favorite teachers at Vandenberg Elementary School. I enjoyed her class and participating in the chorus and performances at school. I can still remember many of the songs that she taught us including the 3-part harmonies. She was so instrumental in any students lives with bringing out their gifts and talents and introducing them to the stage. I will never forget her. May she rest in eternal peace.

Wow I loved Mrs. Ryan! She encouraged me and taught me, even though I wasn’t always the easiest student. She encouraged me to be in my first play and played MLK. She recorded the entire script for me in her own voice and I still remember parts of it, so her voice is still in my head. I myself became a music teacher and I think she would’ve been proud. It’s also crazy that she was here in STL in the same community where I now live and I didn’t even know it. I wish I had know before seeing this so I could’ve said thank you.
RIP Ms. Ryan. I so remember being in the choir and plays! She took me and Frank Lucas to Boblo...I’ll never forget!
