Jeanette Lewis' Obituary
Jeanette Cato Lewis was born on March 17, 1951 to the proud parents of
Cecil Cato and Eldora Williams in Olyphant, Arkansas.
Jeanette graduated from Tuckerman High School in 1968, with honors and
high standards.
She moved to St. Louis, Missouri with relatives shortly after graduation where
she took roots and met and married Alvin Collier.
Jeanette accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior, where she had a personal
relationship with Him. Through life journey, holding dear and close to her
heart.
Jeanette was employed by Bellefontaine Habilitation Center for many years as
an Environmental Services Supervisor, where she met and married Joe Lewis.
They shared a wonderful loving marriage for over 30 years. They both retired
in 2019, and started living life to the fullest, with traveling, dining, exploring
different sights and doing what they love.
In addition, Jeanette was passionate about her gardening, where she natured
and grew beautiful flowers, and maintained a well-manicured lawn. She prides
herself on the work she did of developing an immaculate landscape.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her father, Cecil; mother, Eldora; siblings,
Henry Cato and Redman Cato; son, Alvin P. Potter (Kaye); grandmother,
Jessie Williams; aunts, Maedell, Victoria and Gennell; uncle, Milford and sister
-in-law ~ Cynthia Ross.
Jeanette is survived by: her husband ~ Joe Lewis; sisters-in-law ~ Wanda
(Lewis) Jones; daughter-in-law ~ Kaye Potter; grandkids ~ Paris Potter,
Allencia Potter, Kaylen Smith, Nicole Wilbun, Alina Potter, Alvin Potter, Jr.,
Devonte Potter and Elijah Dixon; great grandkids ~ Karter Stokes, Kario
Molton and Mina Hollowell; nephews, Henry Jr. and Maurice Cato; specials
cousins Renda, Nell and Wanda; and special friend ~ Gwen Taylor; and a
host of other relatives and friends.
