Jennifer Johnson

Jennifer Michelle Johnson was born on June 11, 1976 in Florissant, Missouri. She was the daughter of Melvin and Janice Johnson. She departed her life on earth on Thursday, February 18, 2021 in Florissant, Missouri after an extended illness. Jennifer earned her Associate Degrees in Customer Services/Business and Management Support from Patricia Stevens College. She also earned a diploma from Allied College in Medical Billing and Coding. She worked as a Medical Biller and Coder at HDIS-Home Delivery Incontinent Supplies until her health prevented her from working. Jennifer’s life revolved around her beautiful children, Justin (19), Jasmine (18) and Jayla (14). They were her heart. They always put a smile on her face and helped her stand strong, no matter what health challenges she was facing. She was a devoted, loving and caring mother. Jennifer attended all of her children’s school honors programs, concerts, dance recitals, gymnastics activities and Youth Ministry activities at Antioch Baptist Church in Saint Louis. Jennifer was baptized at Antioch Baptist Church in Saint Louis, Missouri at a young age. She served on the Usher Board. Her children were involved in the Dance Ministry, Puppet and Mime Ministry and the Youth Choir. Jennifer remained connected to the Youth Ministry friends at Antioch Baptist Church on social media. The Youth Ministry Leader, Michelle Robinson said, “no matter how Jennifer was feeling or what she was facing, she stayed involved with her children and was always willing to serve the Lord from outreach. She was a trooper!”. The Youth Minister Leader, Michelle Robinson affectionately called Jennifer’s children, Justin, “Jazzy” and Jayla... “the 3 J’s”. Jennifer was a very strong courageous young lady. She was a fighter! She endured much pain and suffering, but she never complained. If you asked her how she was felling, she always said, “I’m alright”. Many times when we were with her at the hospital after a medical procedure or another health battle, she would look at the concerned looks on our faces and say, “I’ll be alright”. We know that she is alright now. She is resting in peace with the Lord. No more pain, no more suffering. Jennifer leaves to cherish her memory: her three children ~ Justin Johnson, Jasmine Johnson and Jayla Johnson; both parents ~ Melvin and Janice Johnson; one brother ~ Julian Johnson (LaTorya); uncles, aunts, cousins and a host of friends.
