Jerry Lamond Taylor's Obituary
Jerry Lamond Randall was born December 11, 1930 in St. Louis, Missouri to Walter and Leona Randall. She was the youngest sibling among AnnaMae Wilson, Grace Shirrells, Edward Wilson and George Wilson. Parents and siblings have preceded her in death as well as her nephew, Maurice Wilson, with whom she was raised.
She was born into the family of St. Paul A.M.E. Church where she remained for many years and faithfully served the Altar Boys, Youth Department, Missionary Society and working during General Conferences. One of her fondest memories was a trip to the Holy Land in the 1970’s when she went with members of the St. Paul family.
In 1949 she married John A. Taylor Sr. From that union four children were born: John A. Taylor Jr. (deceased), Alva Lee Taylor Blue-Muhammad, Jerrilynn Z. Taylor and Rudolph S. Taylor Sr. She was proud to have been a homemaker until 1968 when she joined the Accounts Payable Department of St. Louis University where she happily served until retirement in 1993.
Jerry was very proud of and loved her family. Taylor-Jones (Gregory) of Little Rock, AR, Loleatha Muhammad (Jamie) of Savannah, GA, April L. Taylor of Las Vegas, NV, Rudolph S. Taylor Jr. (Jeny); great grandchildren ~ John A.
