Jerry Lee Underwood, Sr. was born on February 25, 1985 to Barbara Jean Davis and Lee Jay Pointdexter in St. Louis, Missouri. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Martha Davis, two brothers, Rudy and Jerome Miller, three aunts, Clara, Jo Ann and Cora Mae, three uncles, Freddy, Johnny and James Jr., one nephew Johnny Brown and mother-in-law, Evelyn Caesar.
Jerry attended Kinloch and Ferguson-Florissant School Districts. In 1996, Jerry married Ruby Tanksley. Jerry was employed with Omega Steel Company for over twenty-three years until his health started to fail. Jerry recently confessed his back to the Lord. Jerry was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.
He leaves to cherish his memories: a devoted wife ~ Ruby Underwood; one daughter ~ Evelyn (Antonio) Brown; two sons ~ Jerry (Mekel) Underwood, Jr. and Jahrman (Kayla) Underwood; four granddaughters ~ Ja’kiyah, Ma’Lyni, Mi’Ziyah and Jy’ Ri; one grandson ~ Jahleel; two sisters ~ Teresa Underwood and Jacqueline Miller; four brothers ~ Elton Underwood, Chris (Rhonda) Underwood, Mark Miller and Rickell Miller; two uncles ~ Willie Hardy and Leroy Douglas; five sisters-in-law ~ Chasity, Alleen, Pamela, Karen and Charlene; one brother-in-law ~ James; a host of nieces, nephews and other loved ones and a special cousin whom was like a sister ~ Tanyula “Tammy” Brown.
