Modea, I have so many memories to share... you loved me as one of your own grandchildren. You would pick me up from school with Kendra, when my parents were getting off late from work. I spent so many nights at You & Granddaddy’s house it wasn’t funny. I can remember like yesterday, how I would fuss, because you always made me eat out of the little brown wooden bowl when the other kids would get the larger bowls, but you taught me not to be wasteful & to only get what I would eat...because the day you let me have my way, I sat at that table & it felt like for hours finishing my food, because you would not allow me to leave until I finished that food you had prepared. I found myself doing the same thing to my children, so thank you Modea! There are so many fond memories that I have, and each one had a lesson, even if it was to simply take my time while chewing my food, and not talking while eating. You taught me patience, not to be wasteful, and to be considerate, & respectful of others, as a very young child. You stepped in and took on that the role of a Grandmother for Weeks Street in Lilbourn MO ~ so that ole saying, “ it takes a village to raise a kid”...you never mind putting in the work for all of the children. Thank you Modea, I truly love & appreciate that about you. May your sweet beautiful spirit rest in heaven.
Love Your Granddaughter,
Bridgett Moore -Luguja
