Joe N. Wise's Obituary
Joe N. Wise was born May 24, 1946 to the union of Nathaniel and
Robizina (Bell) Wise; both preceded him in death. He was also
preceded in death by his siblings Arma Dean, Arthur Clarence,
Nathaniel Jr., Terertha Mason, Geleatha Edwards and O’Lester
Wise. He was baptized at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in
1953.
Joe attended Poplar Bluff High School and graduated in 1963.
Joe married Clara Ross in 1985. To this union, one child was born,
KiLeia L. Wise, to whom he loved dearly. She referred to Joe as
the world’s best dad. From her, came his only granddaughter,
Kamia N. Scott. They shared more love than anyone could imagine
and showed it until the very end. I hope they know how very proud
I am of them (from Mom, Clara Washington).
Dad loved being around family and friends. He joined a social club
in the 70s, called the Limited Men, where he shined.
He enlisted in the Air Force in 1963 until 1969. Afterwards, he
received a Vietnam Service Metal and a longevity Service Award.
He was hired at GM and worked there for 35 years until he retired.
