Johnnie Florence Dickerson was born on February 3, 1927 in Webb, Mississippi to the parents of Ouida and John Bishop Gooch. She was educated in the St. Louis Public School System and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Johnnie’s work history included being a cook and National Vendors. She was preceded in death by her parents Ouida Williams-Gooch, John Bishop Gooch, her husband, Eddie Mack Dickerson, her siblings, Leroy (LJ) Gooch, Hattie Townson, Laura Sutherland, John Gooch, Edna Mooris, Selection Solo Selection Caldonia Knox Evelyn Gross, Leodia Gooch, and grandson, Jerry Harris, Jr. Johnnie leaves to cherish her memories: her children ~ JoAnn Harris-Guy (Willie Guy), Dorothy Fuqua, Edwina Dickerson, Debra Dickerson, Denise Townson, and Robert Dickerson; grandchildren ~ Justin Harris (Turdy Harris), Johnny Townson (Sheree Townson), Carlie Ervin, Jason Townson, Robert Higgins (Breanne Higgins), Hason Hall, Dashiel Knox, Caledonia Knox and Merchelle Harris (Jerry); great grandchildren ~ Iesia Taft, Jerry Harris III, Jerell Harris, Josiah Harris, Jonavan Harris, Nory McWhorter, Claybourne (Bill) McWhorter, Olevia McWhorter, Missty McWhorter, James McWhorter, Samir Townson Harlem Higgins, and Dallas Higgins; eight great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and a whole family that she loved and called on a regular basis.
