Johnnie B. Johnson, Jr. was born into the union of Hattie B.
Johnson and Johnnie B. Johnson, Sr. on April 1, 1953.
Johnnie attended public schools in Chicago and East St. Louis,
Illinois. He was drafted into the military in December 1972. He
later attended Barber College after discharge from the Army.
Johnnie departed this life on Tuesday, May 5, 2015. He was
preceded in death by his father, Johnnie B. Johnson, Sr.; his
mother, Hattie B. Johnson; sister, JoAnn Gordon and brother,
Harold Johnson.
Johnnie is survived by: his wife ~ Arneita Gray-Johnson of
Atlanta; daughters ~ Tamara and Kimberly Johnson; granddaughter
~ Jordyn of Belleville, Illinois; brothers ~ Larry
(Victoria), Darryl, Kwame, Timothy and Reginald; sisters ~
Laverne (Jimmy), Barbara (Charles), Patricia and Debra Ann
Johnson; along with a host of nieces, nephews and other
relatives.
