Kenneth James' Obituary
Kenneth was born on June 10, 1959 to Janet (James) Stevens and
Elmer James. He resided in St. Louis, Missouri. Kenneth was the oldest
of seven children. He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer James
and his grandparents, Mildred Fuller and Haywood Irving.
He confessed his life in Christ on December 15, 2014.
Kenneth was educated in the St. Louis Public Schools. He graduated
from McKinley High in June of 1978. Upon graduation, he joined the
United States Navy and served six years on the USS Constellation Air
Craft Carrier. He received many certificates: Aviation Structural
Mechanic (Structures) Course Class A1; Instruction in the S3A
Airframes and Hydraulic Systems Maintenance; Fleet Readiness
Aviation Maintenance Personnel Airantisubron 41; Rated Aviation
Structural Mechanics (Structures) Second Class; Completed the
Technical and Related Instructions in the Department of AeroMechanics
from O’Fallon Technical Center.
Kenny worked at Boeing for twenty-seven years as a mechanic until his
health failed. Kenny enjoyed life with his family, racing cars and flying
planes. He was well liked by many.
He leaves to cherish his memory: a loving and devoted mother and
stepfather ~ Janet and George Stevens; six siblings ~ Darnell Stevens
(Maria), Chyrle McBride (Freddie), Frederick Stevens (Alice), Janet
Siddens (Chris), Angela Vaughn (Lamar) and Stephanie Hester
(Richard); five step siblings ~ Helen, Diane Rena (Al), Anthony Stevens,
Darrell Stevens (Cosetta), Lawrence Stevens and Sharon Miller; aunts
and uncles; one favorite uncle ~ Ronnie; aunt ~ Diane and Marcus
Holmes; cousins, nieces, nephews and friends
