Lauraetta Cooper's Obituary
Lauraetta (Hall) Cooper was born to Hattie McCormick and Curry Hall
Sr., both of her parents preceded her in death. As do her sisters,
Cecil, Frankie and Cookie and brothers, James, Andrew and Curry.
Her daughter, Shirley and her husband, Gerald also preceded her in
death.
Lauraetta was educated in the St. Louis Public Schools. She went on
to work for the Fusz Family as a Nanny among other families in the
St. Louis Area. She also worked as a seamstress at Crown
Embroidery and she worked at BJC/Wash U. in housekeeping,
displaying her love of helping people through her work.
Lauraetta, professed her hope in Christ at an early age. She was a
beloved member of Glory of Christ Church RTD until her death.
Lauraetta was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She
enjoyed time with her family and her good friend, Ceclia Brown. She
loved playing BINGO and Pokeno.
Lauraetta departed this life after a brief illness on Wednesday,
November 27, 2024, with family by her side.
Lauraetta leaves to cherish her memories: her loving and devoted
sons ~ Cecil (Michelle), Jerry (Melody), and Raymond; her daughter ~
Roberta; her bonus children ~ Wanda Thomas, Violisa Cooper, and
Robert Cooper; her oldest brother ~ Melvin (Sylvia); her three sisters
in-law ~ Barbara Sims, Joyce Cooper and Frances Hall; her twenty-six
grandchildren; and her great grandchildren, her nieces and nephews
plus a host of cousins and friends.
