Luella Stewart's Obituary
Luella Stewart (Irving) was born February 19, 1948 to the union of Ora Gabe Irving and Juanita Alexander Irving in Belzoni, Mississippi. Luella, along with her parents and siblings, moved to St. Louis, MO where she attended Northwest High School. Graduating in June of 1966, Luella continued her studies at Forest Park Community College and UMSL. Luella was employed with Mcdonnell Douglas for many years until she started her career with Anthem. After years of service she happily retired from Anthem to enjoy two of her favorite hobbies, sewing and reading. Throughout her life, Luella expressed her faith and love for the Lord. Often Luella shared memories of her childhood and the bond that she shared with all of her brothers and sisters. During her favorite holiday, Christmas, Luella loved to decorate and sing carols with her loved ones. Luella was preceded in death by her loving parents, brothers and sisters Michael Irving, Noreen Taliaferro, Vancel Smith and Milton Irving. Luella shared a 30 year partnership with Spencer McCall who also preceded her in death. She leaves behind her sisters Jacqueline Carter, Sandy Robinson, two sisters-in-law Carol Irving (Michael) and Emeline Irving (Milton). She is survived by her former husband McKinley Stewart, from which her two beautiful daughters Becky Blue (Larry) and Christina Stewart were born.
Luella is also survived by seven grandchildren, Taylor Declue, Cydney Stewart, Caleb Blue (Kelling),Rebekah Blue, Christian Blue, Catō Hartline, two great-grandchildren River Valera, Luna Valera, two fur-babies Gigi and Kenzie, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
