Marcus Davin Johnson's Obituary
Marcus “MJ” Johnson was born on November 28, 1981 in St. Louis
Missouri, to the parent of Cynthia L. Johnson. Growing up in University
City, in a house on Coolidge Ave, he began to establish many longlasting friendships that started at Daniel Boone Elementary and beyond.
In his younger days Marcus showed interest in a variety of sports such
as football and soccer but he most succeeded in baseball, playing
shortstop and being a powerful left-hand hitter. From playing cork in the
streets, to riding bikes, it was a must he went to “Granny’s” house to be
around his best friends from sunup to sundown.
At the age of 25 he had his first son Demarcus “his twin”, and years
later a second son little Marcus “his buddy”. Marcus could often be
seen on Olive Blvd getting Imo’s, De Palm Tree or Frank and Helen’s
some of his favorite places to eat. He was known for lighting up a room
with his presence being in the company of his friends hanging out in the
old neighborhood. He enjoyed watching sports and was a master chef at
BBQing for friends and especially for his mom. A loving son, a protector
of his siblings and a proud father, he will truly be missed by family and
many friends.
Marcus held many warehouse jobs over the years but was looking
forward to a Warehouse Forklift position, where he had just obtained
employment at Costco Wholesale.
Marcus departed this life on Thursday September 15, 2022. He leaves
