Margaret Ann Brooks' Obituary
On May 8, 1945, Margaret Ann Brooks was born to the union of Walker
C. Brewer and Martha Brewer, both preceded her in death. To this
union nine children was born; Margaret Ann was the fifth oldest child to
this union.
Margaret professed her hope in Christ at an early age at Mount Zion in
Macon, Mississippi.
She was educated in the Noxubee School District.
She moved to Saint Louis in 1972 with husband, Horton Brooks and
their four babies, Mary Ann Brooks, Cynthia Maria Brooks, Earnestine
Brooks and Ivory B. Brooks.
Later she met Lee Johnson and to this union Michael Deangelo Brooks
was born. Her husband, Horton Brooks; daughter, Mary Ann Brooks;
son, Michael D. Brooks; sister, Gladys and all four brothers preceded
her in death.
Margaret loved her family dearly, especially her kids. She often stated
“She was very proud of them”.
Margaret leaves to cherish her memory: two daughters and one
adopted daughter ~ Cynthia Maria Brooks (Steve), Earnestine Brooks
(Eric) and Tamika Smith; son ~ Ivory B. Brooks (Stephanie); three
sisters ~ Lois, Lorean and Ruth (Wallace), all from Macon and
Columbus, Mississippi; eleven grandsons; three granddaughters; three
great grandchildren ~ Darrion, Jimyha and Journey; and a host of other
family members and friends.
