Mary Joycelia Jones' Obituary
Mrs. Mary Joycelia Jones, affectionately known as
“Jacelia” was born January 2, 1940 in St. Louis, Missouri to
the union of Clarence Hunt Vincent and Alice Bernice
Vincent. She attended the St. Louis Public Schools. She
was joined in matrimony with the late Albert D. Jones, Jr.
April, 1958. Mary was baptized and filled with the Holy
Ghost under the pastorate of the late Bishop James A.
Johnson at Bethesda Temple Church.
Joycelia departed this life on Thursday, December
22, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband
Albert D. Jones, and one son, Michael D. Vincent. Also
preceding her in death were two brothers: Clarence Hunt
Vincent Jr. and Michael Vincent; and, one sister Ruth
Barbara Jane Vincent.
She leaves to cherish her memories: Six children.
Three sons: Abu Haneef (Albert Jr. ), Steven Jones, and
Sean Jones. Three daughters: Anna Jones, Sherril Jones,
and Shanti Richardson (David Richardson). Two granddaughters:
Amanda McCarter and Ashley Williams
(Michael Williams Jr.) and one great
-grandson, Michael
Patrick Williams III. She also has four siblings, three
brothers: James Vincent, Thomas Vincent, and Joseph
Vincent, as well as one sister, Patricia Littles. Our special
cousin (1st daughter) Cheryl J. Collins and a host of nieces,
nephews, and cousins
