Mary Ella McClenton's Obituary
Mary Ella McClenton passed peacefully from this life the morning
of July 23, 2017 after a gradual decline in health. She was surrounded
by her loving family and caregivers during the last days
of her life. Mary was born March 7, 1947 in St. Louis, Missouri,
daughter of the late Evelyn M. (Sysmore) and James Reed. Mary
went on to join her oldest sister Marjorie L. Reed in paradise. She
leaves behind three sisters Ella M. Swims, Christina G. Reed,
Maxine D. Dawson. Mary was raised by the late Ella Mae and
Sherman Tuck (Grandmother & Grandfather). George Tree
(Uncle) also played a part in Mary's upbringing.
She was united in Holy Matrimony to Larry McClenton in
October of 1980. This union was blessed with four children, two
from a previous marriage. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished
in the lives of her children and grandchildren: Simona R
Hightire (Daughter), the late Byron A Reece (Son), Lori and
Danielle McClenton (Daughters).
Grandchildren: Antonio Moore, Maranda Mills, Darrah Young,
Devon Reece, Kedrein Reece, Dahreion Reece, Brendon Reece,
Harmony Carpentero, Lyric and Kadence McClenton. She leaves
behind her best friend Elizabeth (Faye) Hadley, along with a host
of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and
friends that loved her dearly.
