Maxine Henry's Obituary
Edna Maxine Henry was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas on November 26, 1947
to the union of Mack and Edna Baldwin. To this union two daughters
were born, her and her sister, Vivian. Her mom, dad and sister Vivian,
all preceded her in death. Before her father’s passing, he remarried and
had four children; Cynthia, Michael, Alvin and Alex, all from California.
Alex and Alvin preceded her in death. She also had an older sister,
Joyce from Milwaukee who also preceded her in death.
She moved to West Memphis, Arkansas at a young age where she met
the love of her life, her late husband, Willie B. Henry. She and Willie
joined in Holy Matrimony on April 23rd and three children were born to
this union, Sonya Mack, Marcus Henry and Vivian Blocker.
Maxine confessed her belief in the risen Savior at an early age in West
Memphis, Arkansas and was very active in her church before moving to
Saint Louis, Missouri. Her faith was strong and to the end of her life she
was calling on the name of JESUS.
Maxine worked for the United States Postal Service for many years
before retiring. She was a very kind, loving and devoted person who
helped others selflessly.
She departed this life on April 9, 2025 at St. Mary’s Hospital. Mourning
and remembering her with love are: her two daughters ~ Sonya Mack of
Saint Louis, Missouri and Vivian Blocker of Wentzville, Missouri; her son
~ Marcus Henry of Saint Louis, Missouri; one son-in-law ~ Derwin
Blocker; seven grandchildren ~ Dermond (Mallory), Shardai (Nic), Paityn
Blocker, Kristen Henry, Ashley and Marcus Banks; plus a host of relatives
and friends.
