Quentin M. Davis' Obituary
Brother Quentin Montavias Davis, also known as Q, Quinn, or Black,
was born September 16, 1969, in St. Louis, Missouri to Evelyn Davis
and Tyrone Peoples. As a child he was comical, mischievous, and loved
sweets; like sweet cereal for example. He attended Sumner High School
where he graduated in the class of 1988 along with a forever lasting
brotherhood. He had an amazing work ethic which started out when he
worked at the Central West End Shoe Repair in St. Louis, where he met
his late wife Meschele Davis. They married in 1991 and joined the
Nation of Islam in 1993. Together the couple had daughter Quinneta
Meschele Davis (1992) and many years later, he produced son Quentin
Montavias Davis Jr. (1999).
Brother Quentin had many passions, he loved shoe repair, skating, but
most of all family time, especially with his grandchildren. Brother
Quentin could outwork anyone in any industry he touched. With his
passion in shoe repair, he moved forward into entrepreneurship
starting his first business called Airport Road Shoe Repair. He also copartnered with Vernice Smith in Atlanta, Georgia to open Cobblestone
Shoe Repair and worked with Busy Bee Alterations in St. Louis,
Missouri. He transitioned to starting Quentin's Quality Cleaning Service
LLC.
Brother Quentin had a beautiful giving spirit, a powerful figure and role
model to so many people. He has inspired others to follow their dreams,
unite for greater success, and the true meaning of the “verb” LOVE.
He is preceded in death by his late wife, Meschele Davis, his parents
Evelyn Davis and Tyrone Peoples; grandparents Flossine Davis, Emmett
Davis, Inez Peoples, and Big Theo.
