Ramona Jean Blair's Obituary
Ramona J. Blair was born Ramona Jean Dozier in St. Louis, Missouri
on June 6, 1950. Her parents were Rovine S. Dozier (Queeny) of
Tiptonville, Tennessee and Ramsey Dozier of Widner, Arkansas. Both
parents preceded Ramona in death.
Ramona received her formal education through the City of St. Louis
Public School System where she attended Sumner High School and
graduated from Soldan High School in 1968. After high school, she
attended Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, Illinois where she
majored in Social Services and became a member of Delta Sigma
Theta Sorority. Ramona will be well remembered for her love and flair
for fashion.
After a long, exhausting fight, Ramona lost her battle to cancer on
Friday, June 26, 2015. She touched the lives of many and because of
this, she will be dearly missed.
Ramona leaves to cherish her memory: her only child ~ Thayer L.
Weaver, Jr.; her daughter-in-law ~ Phyllis Dilworth-Weaver; two grandsons
~ Thayer L. Weaver, III and Trenton I. Weaver; her brother ~ Larry
Gregory (Ramsey); and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and
close friends.
