Raymond Nash's Obituary
Raymond Rudolph Nash, Sr. (84) was born on June 25, 1931 in
Mansura, Louisiana to the late Curry Nash and Elizica Prevot (Nash)
who preceded him in death.
Raymond was called home to rest on Thursday, October 28, 2015 and
he was called from labor to reward at 8:42 a.m. at Mancare Skilled
Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in St. Louis, Missouri.
Raymond embraced Christianity at a early age at Our Lady of Prompt
Succor Catholic Church in Mansura, Louisiana.
Raymond was united in Holy Matrimony for 42 years to the late
Ometta Nash (Bridget) in June of 1956, who preceded him in death.
Raymond attended Bethune High School in Marksville, Louisiana.
Then after he served in the U.S. Army Forces in 1953 to 1954.
Afterwards he persuaded his long lifetime career in construction and
Masonry like his father and brothers which was known for many
structure buildings all over. Ray and his brothers were known to be
“The Louisiana Boys” for bricklayer work. Ray was always looking for
jobs for him and his boys to do to make money.
Raymond Rudolph Nash, Sr. was preceded in death by his beautiful
wife, his mother and father, siblings, Eleanor Trent (Texas), Homer
Nash, Sr. (Louisiana), Lloyd Nash, Sr. (Louisiana) and Bertrand Nash,
Sr. (Missouri).
He leaves to cherish his loving memories: brother ~ Clarence Nash, Sr.
(Missouri); sister-in-law ~ Lillie Nash (Louisiana); and a host of nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends.
